Introducing....

My new "nephew"! My brotha man Austin is getting this puppy in a couple of weeks. I seriously can't wait. Trav & I are not at the point in our lives that is, lets say, conducive to having a puppy. We are almost never home, we have 3 small children who demand a ton of time and energy, and lets face it, Dogs are expensive. All the above doesn't change the fact that I am desperately wanting one, but it does mean we just can't get a dog. Which is why I am so thrilled to become "Auntie Stacey" to the to be named brindled boxer shown. :-)

Mommy Daughter Day!

I took the afternoon off work today and had a fun filled day with my big girls! I picked Alex up from pre-school (which by the way... she was GOOD today!!)And took her out to lunch. I let her choose where, and of course we went to get "spicy chicken" from Panda Express. The girl loves Chinese food! After lunch we made a quick trip to JcPenny's to pick up a couple new outfits for Peyton who has grown out of all her clothes so I needed to pick up a couple cute fally type things for her. Gotta love Carters. I got a couple outfits and a new cozy sleeper for her for about $10. After a $10 off coupon that is. Which is why I went there in the 1st place. After the quick shopping trip we went to the ceramic painting studio in Mac for an "actibity" as Alex calls it. She made a cute little cat and I made a spoon holder thing-a-majig. When we finished up there we detoured through Mommy's work just to say howdy, then we were off to get Gwama Cindy and to pick Miss Maddy up from school so that we could go see High School Musical 3. Whoopee. My girls enjoyed it and we ended up having a really fun afternoon together.

So yes, I have to post a link to her blog for me to even attempt to win the thing. But look at it! I know you ladies with little girls will be doing the exact same thing. If only I could sew...

Peyton Cut her 1st tooth!

OK, so you can't see it in this picture, but Peyton cut her 1st tooth we think, yesterday. She was extra fussy in the car and this morning when we were getting ready for church Trav says to me, "STACE! SHE HAS A TOOTH!" I am sure this means the begining of the end of our nursing days. Which I am really ok with. We'll see!

Some skate boardin fun!

We went to my in-laws to celebrate my bro Austin's 22nd b-day on Friday and had the pleasure of playin on the new long board he got in Huntington Beach, CA the prior weekend. Um, ya, I tried it, but sorry folks no pictures to document that wonderfully embarrassing moment. Whew.

Maddy & Alex tryin it out together. So cute.

Maddy looked like she could actually do it, if she were to get some good instruction.

Yes, that is Travis with a leaf blower on the long board. And yes, he looks like he just tooted and is laughing at him self. Ya never know.

Alex was so cute on it. She really just wanted to do it by her self!

The Vote

Here is a little replay of a conversation Alex & I had this morning.

Alex: "Hey Momma, who are you gonna vote for?"
Me: A little dumbstruck... "Uh, not sure yet Alex. Why?"
Alex: "Dunno, are you gonna vote for Bawack Obama?"
Me: Floored. "How do you know who Barack Obama is Al?"
Alex: "Well, he's wunning for Pwesident wight? Him and John McCain?"
Me: "Yup. Thats right kiddo."
Alex: "Yeah, that's what I thought. So who are you gonna vote for?"
Me: "Al..Don't worry about it baby, you just need to worry about acting like a good girl at school."
Alex: "Oh, ok."

What the heck? How does my FOUR year old know who the presidential candidates are? Seriously. Told ya she was smart.

Oh and by the way. I have to make a little correction in reference to a prior post. I said Maddy was the model student.. WRONG. She proved that to me today when she came home from school with, oh, about 6 inches of hair cut from around the front of her face. YES, 6 INCHES! I about cried.

Alex update.

No luck. No stickers for pumpkin chart. No good behavior. But she had a reason. She wanted to be line leader. It wasn't her turn. She didn't care. She ran to the head of the line anyways, then when the teacher told her to get back to her spot, she stuck her tongue out at the teacher. Screams and yells ensue. Proceeds to get sent back to the "office". Sigh.

To be continued...
