5 minutes in Peyton's shoes.

Hmm, I think I'll go for a walk.

Oh! I found a basketball!

Whats in there?

Up the stairs!

I think I want a steak.

Oop, its time to put my helmet on.

Wonder who can help me?

Daddy can!

Ooooh, bugs.

These photos were literally taken within a FIVE minute period. She is such a busy little bee!

The post that needs no name.

Disclaimer: I am not to be held responsible for any vomiting or laughing so hard you pee yourself. That, I would solely blame on my two oldest daughters.

Picture this:
Dinner. Old Spaghetti Factory. Moms (Grandma Cindy's) birthday. Nice family night out.

"Hey Momma, I need to go potty." says Maddy. "Alrighty, Alex do you need to go to?" I reply. "Yeah, I do." Alex says. So off the 3 off us go to the teeniest of bathrooms for a mega restaurant. There is a line. And prom dresses. Lots & lots of prom dresses. (um, yeah those "prom" dresses? Lets just say they looked more appropriate for 27 year olds. NOT for 16 year olds.) Anyways, I digress. We get to the front of the long prom dress laden line, and all 3 of us go into the handicapped accessible stall. Alex says, "I need to go first!" Now remember it was Maddy who asked to the restroom initially. Maddy, "NO, I NEED TO GO 1ST!" "NO I DO!" This goes back & forth for, hmm, 30 seconds or so before I have enough and tell Maddy to let Alex go first. So when I turn around to get a toilet set cover off the wall, Maddy grabs her opportunity at retaliation and SHOVES Alex. I turn around, and in almost a slow motion type Matrix-y move Alex faaaaaalllls iiiinnntooooo thhheee toilet. Face first. Shoulder deep. Ack. Alex scrambles literally out of the toilet and holds out her wet arms, and starts to SCREAM at the top of her lungs. And she screams, and screams. And Maddy laughs & LAUGHS. And well, I kinda maybe might have laughed a little bit. Maybe. Then I decide enough I enough and I go to the bathroom first. Then Alex, who is still freaking out on me, demands I use toilet paper to dry off her arms of toilet water, she goes next. Then Maddy, who by this time is laughing so hard I thought she would wet herself before she could get onto the seat. She made it just in time. Whew. That was a close one. We finish up in the stall, walk out into the teensy tiny area to wash our hands and ooops, Alex trips and falls into a girl. In a stripper, ahem, I mean prom dress. And catches her self with the toilet arms. Shoot. I really hope she wasn't standing there listening to the whole bathroom shenanigans. I take Miss Alex and the still giggling Maddy to the sink where we "wash" our hands/arms. And by "wash" I mean scrub them so darn hard that Alex tells me, "Mommy! You are HURTING my arms!" Ok. They must be clean then right? I sure hope so, because I RAN out the dumb door.

And the good part about the dinner? My brotha man Austin's ex-girlfriend Crazy Crystal, works at the Old Spaghetti Factory, and she totally comped our meal. (My fam of 5's meal that is) NICE! I mean, that's $40 that didn't have to get paid. Sweet.

I need a break

Meltdown in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.... For reals. I am in dire need of a break. A break from my job. From my kids. From my house. From. Just from.

Work is so busy right now. I am frequently in meetings. I told Trav the other day that my job title should be changed to "Meeting Go-er". And when I am not in meetings, its then time to play catch up with my in-box. I tell my self daily - be thankful for your job, be thankful for your job. And I AM thankful. Just tired.

Kids are driving me to the drink. (iced tea that is) Peyton is our little angel/demon child. Alex. Well, shes still our Alex. (need I say more?) And Maddy is little Miss Attitude. I tell my self daily - be thankful for healthy kids, be thankful for healthy kids. And I am thankful. Just tired.

My house. Doesn't.Stay.Clean. Ever. The Laundry, I swear is plotting against me to bury my house while I am at work. Dinner? Yup, every night it gets made. I know, I know, these are things EVERYONE deals with. Daily. And I also tell my self daily - be thankful for my home, be thankful for my home. And I am thankful. But I am just so tired.

Mothers day is coming up and I am praying that I get a day to do nothing. The thing is, we both have mothers to celebrate as well. So the chances of me being able to do nothing is slim to none. Not to mention Church at 9:30, so there goes sleeping in. And I probably just sounded terribly selfish huh. And, as embarrassing as this is, we have no extra money for gifts for our Mothers. Or for a lunch out so I don't have to cook. But heck. My mortgage is paid, so there's something.

Sorry for the really negative post today. I just really needed to get this off my chest. Next time I will be happier, and maybe I will tell you about the imaginary vacation I will be taking.

A big day for Miss Maddy

Maddy lost her first tooth! I really had a hard time with it too. It really hit me then that my "baby" isn't a baby any longer. I, ahem, may or may not have cried a little (or a lot) about it on my way home. It didn't help that the girls were listening to the Hannah Montana Movie soundtrack and the Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus song, "Butterfly Fly Away" came on. Fuel to the fire I guess.

You tucked me in, turned out the light
Kept me safe and sound at night
Little girls depend on things like that

Brushed my teeth and combed my hair
Had to drive me everywhere
You were always there when I looked back

You had to do it all alone
Make a living, make a home
Must have been as hard as it could be

And when I couldn't sleep at night
Scared things wouldn't turn out right
You would hold my hand and sing to me

Caterpillar in the tree
How you wonder who you'll be
Can't go far but you can always dream

Wish you may and wish you might
Don't you worry, hold on tight
I promise you there will come a day
Butterfly fly away

Butterfly fly away (Butterfly fly away)
Got your wings, now you can't stay
Take those dreams and make them all come true

Butterfly fly away (Butterfly fly away)
You've been waiting for this day
All along, you know just what to do

Butterfly, Butterfly, Butterfly
Butterfly fly away

Butterfly fly away

Butterfly fly away

For a Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus/Billy Ray Cyrus song, man, it can sure tug on those heartstrings.

I love me some handmade baby jammies!

My DEAR friend Kristen (you can find her on her BABY STEPS blog) made my sweet girl Peyton some even sweeter jammies out of the goodness of her heart. Here are the results!

How you ask did I get her to actually sit still for the camera? Why, I bribed her with Jelly beans of course. Don't all Moms do that? Right before bed time like I do, I just bet.

Oh, I guess the toes are pretty tasty too.

Thanks so much Kristen! I am still not sure how you manage it. Staying home with your 2 sweet girls is a LOT of work! To make your friends daughters P.Js on top of it, well, you are my favorite domestic goddess.

The end of Spring soccer season. Grade 1

We had our last soccer game of the spring season on Saturday. We ended our best season yet with a 4 game winning streak. It was quite nice to watch our girls WIN! I know we are supposed to be teaching the kids about being good sports about winning & loosing. But come on. Lets be honest. We as people are hard wired with the desire to win. To be the best we can. Its natural. So YES. I was GLAD that our girls ended up winning the last 4 games. And darned proud too.
Coaches Travis & Byron and the Blue Dolphins.

See that face? That's the face of a girl who loves to play soccer, and a girl who loves to WIN at soccer!

I Heart Jackson

Here are some pictures I took today of my favorite nephew Jack. (Ok, you got me, he's my ONLY nephew. But that's not the point.)

He is SO the cutest baby boy. In my own very biased opinion that is. Oh could you say a prayer for him too? He is pretty jaundiced and if his Billiruebin (sp?) count goes up much more he will have to be hospitalized under the billirueben lights. He has the billi "blanket" right now that he is in pretty much 24/7. So pray that it will go down and he can be a free little man! Thanks!

And here he is!

Jackson Charles Lewis.
The most perfect and wonderful nephew an Auntie could ask for!

More photos most certainly to follow. One thing is for sure though. I am in love. He is going to have his little pinkie wrapped around my heart forever.

Welcome to the family little man.

Easter Photos

I am not going to write about what we did on Easter, but just show you pics of my adorable daughters. And one of my sweet niece Olivia too. :-)
Trying to get a good shot of all my girls together..

Not that I succeeded all that well.

Peyton is impossible to take pictures of!

Great shot of Alex. Somehow I missed getting a solo of Maddy though... Very surprising.

And of course, my niece Olivia. A little lady whom I adore.

Keeping it real..

My Friend Tammy on her Raising Angels Blog challenged me eons ago to participate in this game called Keeping it Real, and I am FINALLY posting the picture I took when I read her blog oh so long ago.. It has just taken me until today to download all my pics!

Oh no she di'int!

Note to self:

You no longer need to use shameless bribes to help Maddy make goals in soccer. She can do it on her own.

Yeah. So this morning I made a "deal" with Maddy. If she were to make 2 goals at the soccer game today, she could have a sleep over with a few friends. I honestly thought this was a long shot. Um, guess what. Not so much. In literally the first 5 minutes of the game she had scored the two goals she needed to have her slumber party. Crap. Now I have to have a little girls sleep over at my house. Something I promised my self I wouldn't do until my girls were about 10. Or 25. Ok, I secretly told my self I would NEVER let the girls have sleep overs. Ever. I would probably let them have ONE friend over to spend the night every once & a while, but that would be it. Guess I ruined that huh.

Oh well. Look on the bright side. It'll give me something to blog about. Yay.

Warning! Cute Pregnant Belly Shots Posted!

My little sister asked me a while back to take maternity photos of her, and we decided that sooner was better then later since she probably won't be pregnant much longer so we took them today.. So here are a few shots that I have played with. More to come I'm sure! Tell me what you think! Oh, and thanks Elizabeth for letting me post these on here. ;-)

Some of these are duplicates with a color copy & a B&W copy.

Give me my iced tea, NOW!

Hello, my name is Stacey, and I am an Iced Tea-aholic.

Step 1. Admit you have a problem. Check.

Step 2 - 12 ???

I am going through serious, I mean, SERIOUS withdrawals right now. Its B-A-D. And hello, its only for Iced tea. And its only day 2. How pathetic. The reason I am blogging right now when I said I wouldn't, is because if I didn't I would be down stairs popping an IV into my arm just so I could get my caffinated beverage injected directly into my blood stream. Not Cool.

I don't know if I can cut out the drink cold turkey folks. Just don't think I have it in me. HELP!

And before I go, did you hear about the plane crash in Newberg yesterday? It was literally 100 yards away from my brotha mans new place. Crashed into the front yard of my dream house. Crazy. And so so sad. May the 2 people who lost their lives rest in peace.

A loose tooth and an early baby. Possibly.

Wow. I honestly didn't think I would be posting ANYTHING today, but apparently I just can't stay away. So here I am. With news non the less!

I took my big girls to the kiddie dentist today. Dr. Noyes, for all my friends who haven't ventured that far into the child rearing stage. And he is AWESOME. Anyways, my girls have great teeth. No cavities at all, and my Maddy finally has a loose tooth! I KNOW, she is 7 and this is her first loose tooth. Seems crazy to me. But oh well. I asked the doc about how long it will take to fall out, and quite frankly was expecting to hear, oh about 3-4 WEEKS. NO, he said 3-6 MONTHS! Crazy huh. I guess since I have never dealt with this before I had other expectations. For all of you who have gone down this road, how long did it take your kiddos?

AND, even bigger news, my little sis is in the hospital in early labor. They are trying to stop it since she is still 5 weeks away from her due date. I have always said that her baby will come 3 weeks early, so I guess we'll see how close I am! I can't wait to meet baby Jack, but I still think he needs to wait at least 2 more weeks. Just so he has no issues with under developed lungs and such.

Well, that's all I have. I seriously doubt I will post tomorrow, but I guess anything is possible.
