OK, so you can't see it in this picture, but Peyton cut her 1st tooth we think, yesterday. She was extra fussy in the car and this morning when we were getting ready for church Trav says to me, "STACE! SHE HAS A TOOTH!" I am sure this means the begining of the end of our nursing days. Which I am really ok with. We'll see!

We went to my in-laws to celebrate my bro Austin's 22nd b-day on Friday and had the pleasure of playin on the new long board he got in Huntington Beach, CA the prior weekend. Um, ya, I tried it, but sorry folks no pictures to document that wonderfully embarrassing moment. Whew.
Maddy & Alex tryin it out together. So cute.
Maddy looked like she could actually do it, if she were to get some good instruction.
Yes, that is Travis with a leaf blower on the long board. And yes, he looks like he just tooted and is laughing at him self. Ya never know.
Alex was so cute on it. She really just wanted to do it by her self!
Happy birthday brotha man!

The Vote
Here is a little replay of a conversation Alex & I had this morning.
Alex: "Hey Momma, who are you gonna vote for?"
Me: A little dumbstruck... "Uh, not sure yet Alex. Why?"
Alex: "Dunno, are you gonna vote for Bawack Obama?"
Me: Floored. "How do you know who Barack Obama is Al?"
Alex: "Well, he's wunning for Pwesident wight? Him and John McCain?"
Me: "Yup. Thats right kiddo."
Alex: "Yeah, that's what I thought. So who are you gonna vote for?"
Me: "Al..Don't worry about it baby, you just need to worry about acting like a good girl at school."
Alex: "Oh, ok."
What the heck? How does my FOUR year old know who the presidential candidates are? Seriously. Told ya she was smart.
Oh and by the way. I have to make a little correction in reference to a prior post. I said Maddy was the model student.. WRONG. She proved that to me today when she came home from school with, oh, about 6 inches of hair cut from around the front of her face. YES, 6 INCHES! I about cried.

Alex update.
No luck. No stickers for pumpkin chart. No good behavior. But she had a reason. She wanted to be line leader. It wasn't her turn. She didn't care. She ran to the head of the line anyways, then when the teacher told her to get back to her spot, she stuck her tongue out at the teacher. Screams and yells ensue. Proceeds to get sent back to the "office". Sigh.
To be continued...

Mental or Emotional?
Maddy to Alex: "Excuse Me Alex"
Alex to Maddy: "NO MADDY! You EXCUSE YOURSELF!"
Ahh.. The joy of using our words. Loud words mind you, but words none the less. Not typical of Miss Alex. AT ALL. She is, lets say, a more, um, physical being. We are working on that, so no worries to you other mommies out there whose kids "play" with Alex. Really. Promise.
We have been having some Alex issues the last month or so. Since she has started school she has been sent to the principals office almost everyday. Crap. She's going to be one of THOSE kids. You know, the ones that each teacher in school know about. The ones I am sure they fight over NOT having in their classes. The ones who get there own "special helper".. Now, I am wondering if teachers really like to take the siblings of their "good" students when they come through. If so, well, they are in for a rude, and I mean rude awakening. Maddy is the model student. She shows up with a happy attitude, doesn't complain, doesn't yell at or hit the teacher or her "friends". Alex, well, she does all of those things.
The other day we had to have a conference with her teacher at St James. Now, I know my kid is smart. Too smart for her own good most of the time. But having her teacher tell me that, made me feel oddly proud. I got all puffed up and smirky looking. And Yes, I was at a conference to talk about her behavior. Weird I know. We have figured out that Alex is still 4 emotionally, but mentally she is quite a bit more advanced. So there is the conflict between the two things that is part of the reason she has been acting so disruptively. But still, I was proud. Why? Who doesn't want to know their kid is smart? Even if its the root of all evil in their kid.
Maybe I should re-evaluate something. Maybe Me.
Anyway.. Alex has school tomorrow, we have been talking to her and praising her for using words, and what not. Guess we'll see how it goes. Fingers crossed..

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!
We were able to go to the Oregon Ducks Football game last night. It was SO MUCH FUN! I have never been to Autzen Stadium, and I can say is WOW. Its big, loud, and well, freakin great. I think it goes with out saying that I am not much of a sports fan. It's different when you're there. Big time. I might just have to start watching football on tv now. Seriously. Its nothing but Drama! Real, live, honest, DRAMA! I mean come on, where else do you get to see 2, yes 2, people get wheeled off the field (or sidelines in one case last night) at the SAME TIME? Yeah, so this UCLA Football player, Austin (not sure of his 1st name) got PLOWED into, and ended up really hurt. He is ok.. Promise. Just thought I would throw that in there.. And at the exact same time, two dumb butts in the crowd decided to get into a fight and one guy fell off the risers. Not sure how he is, but they had him strapped up to a back board with a neck brace on. I really hope he is ok. I don't want to sound insensitive or anything, but come on. Don't get into fist fights on or near stairs. DUH. So, like I said, drama, major drama. The Ducks won the game, even though the refs called a really bad call against the ducks. Ok, so if I can tell that it was a bad call.. Well that should say enough. And the recievers kept on dropping the passes. Its like they had butterfingers. Sheesh! (like I could do better..riiight.)I couldn't get past the fact that Trav & I are 10 years OLDER then some of the players. 10 years! Makes me feel old. REALLY REALLY old. Anyways, it was a great night, and we had a fantastic date night. Thanks for a great night out Trav.
This is my guy.. I love you..
He really was excited..REALLY!
Ok Trav.. Lets focus on the camera.
Thats better!
Thought this was a cool shot. Gosh, I think I took like 200!
Final score, Ducks 31, UCLA 24.

Saturday
This is what I went downstairs to in the morning. Oh my. What a perfect big sister!

Maddy before the big goal!

Alex and the, bigger then she is, umbrella. So cute!

My absolutely adorable niece Olivia. Or as the girls & I call her Libby Lou.. Actually Alex calls her Olibia Lou. Her name is actually Olivia Ann..

Me just chillin with the babes.

Yesterday was a very fun day..almost. We started out the day at a funeral for a great man who died tragically in an accident at work last Monday. Kevin Ivey was a strong and funny man, whom my husband looked up to. They worked together for a time, and Trav had known him since he was in high school. We are very sorry for your loss Sally.
Then it was off to the soccer fields where you saw in an earlier post that Maddy made her 1st goal of the season! I am still so proud of her.
After the game we went to MY parents house to get Peyton and Olivia who I got to baby sit last night for the very 1st time. How cool is that! She is a 3 1/2 month baby doll. Love her! Then we left there and went to watch the Ducks blow USC out of the water.. RIIIIGHT.. Trav sure thought that was going to happen. Me, being a little bit, lets say, wiser, in this case KNEW that there was NO WAY USC was going to let another Oregon team beat them this season. Hmmm. Who was right? ME of course! Sorry Ducks. Maybe next year.
After that we drove home where Mike and Charity, Mom and Dad, and Charlie came over for chocolate cake to celebrate Mikes 29th birthday. They went out to the Casino for dinner, and since Trav & I had other plans we couldn't make it, which is why we were able to baby sit Olivia. Whew. What a day though huh. We are staying home all day today. The girls have stuffy noses and we thought we would keep them home from Church to have a full day of rest before another busy weeks starts again tomorrow.

GOOOAAAALLL!!!
She did it! She actually did it! Maddy made the 1st goal of the season for her team. Yay for Maddy! I was so mad at myself too. I had to go to the van at halftime to get Maddy a drink and decided to leave my camera in the car. It was wet out and I already took a couple pictures during the game so I figured (wrong in this case) that it was better off in the van. Dang it! So no pics of the actual event. But it is something I will remember for always. During halftime Gramma Deb told Maddy that she would buy her a gigantic milkshake if she were to make a goal. Guess that was incentive enough. :-) Good job Maddy, good job.

the office
Ick. Really really ick.
I was sitting at my desk this afternoon, listening to my iPod, when I hear this continuous rumbling noise. I look behind me because I thought it was my friend Jeanna making a funny noise with her chair. It wasn't. She is sitting at her desk CRACKING up. Then I knew. Then I smelled. Then I snorted. It was someone, whose name I am not going to use, FARTING. Really loudly. So loud I could hear it over my iPod. This same someone burps at her desk frequently. And occasionally will let out a little fluff. But this was more. Way more. This was a man fart. I about died trying not to laugh. Didn't work. I tried to cover it up with a little *cough* . Didn't work. Ended up blowing water out of my nose. Water I sipped when I tried to cover up said *cough*. Still didn't work. I laughed. Who wouldn't?!

10 months. How... How could that possibly be? She is such a funny little thing. Her personality is shining brighter everyday. She's such a joy and we are so happy to have her in our family.
Alex asked me today, "Momma, your done havin babies wight?" To which I reply, "yes, Al I am." Her reply: "Oh good."
HMMMMM..
I'll leave you with a couple new pics of Precious Peyton taken today at Maddy's soccer game.
